nuggets

Aaron received a trophy Sunday for basketball. His team the Nuggets played well and had a lot of fun.

We have on the top row. Coach Tim, Alec (I think?), Aaron, Jordon and ?
On the bottom row. ?, Alex, ?(Benny), John and ?
Ok. I'm going need Jaime to help with the names of everybody.

I went and picked up the basketball photos this morning. They turned out great except they miss spelled Aaron's last name on them. He is now known as Aaron Snyner. I've called the studio but have not heard back yet.

Basketball comes to an end

The team did not win any games this year. Aaron had fun and is going to play spring basketball in a few weeks.

After an early morning game the team went to Dairy Queen where Coach Ken gave the boys a DQ gift card and their medals.

A new camera

Yesterday. We went to Aaron's basketball game. The boys did a great job. It was a really close game right to the end. But the boys lost by 1 point. During the game Anthony dropped the camera off the top of the bleachers and it died. We tried to fix it but we gave up and bought a new one to take to Pam's meet.

The boys in white

Aaron had a game yesterday. They had to wear their white shirts for this game. One player was gone so with only 6 boys they were all tired. Aaron played all 4 quarters and was ready for a nap when we got home. The Hawks did their best but the other team was better. The team we played were undefeated last year.

I am still letting Anthony take pictures during the game. It keeps him from running all over the place.

Anthony really likes to take pictures of his feet.

Basketball catch up

Aaron's team has been working really hard. Unfortunately, they have yet to win a game. The boys try but they have a hard time working as a team.

I give Anthony our camera during the games to keep him busy. He takes some interesting pictures.

Anthony found Dad.

Aaron warming up before a game.

Aaron during a game. He is on the far left behind a teammate.

Anthony took a few pictures of the water bottle.

I think he was comparing my shoes to his.

It was fun going through the 100 or so pictures he took. Some were blurry. Some were cute. But all of them tell me exactly what goes on in his head during a basketball game.

Food and Santa

Really what could be better?
Aaron had a practice game for Basketball that morning along with Basketball pictures. So Aaron was not able to stay long for the Santa Breakfast last Sat. He helped set up the craft stuff for the little ones. Aaron had planned to help out more but he did enough to finish earning his Religious Square knot for Cub Scouts. He was also able to eat a little food before he had to leave to get his picture taken. What fun that was for Jaime and I.

Pam, Anthony, EJ and Caroline stayed with me and made candy cane reindeer. Yeah. Did I mention we brought 2 extra kids with us? They were really well behaved for me so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Anthony was a smart cookie. He noticed a lot of adults on the stage and he lined up with a few older kids. He is a smart one that boy. He was one of the first ten kids to see Santa. I heard him ask for a Diego something. Knowing Anthony it was probably all Go Diego Go toys.

Pam waited in line for a while because she was busy playing. She was very excited and asked for the Dora the Explorer game for the Wii.

Aaron's game went OK. they lost but it doesn't count on their record. And still no baby. But James will be here no later than this Sunday. My doctor is having me induced Sunday. So hopefully I'll feel up to posting a few pictures of the little guy by Monday.

So close

The boys lost both of the games yesterday. They played a good game and had fun. So they placed 5th. I think. Cole's little sister took some photos with my camera for me. Anthony was mad.

Basketball

Here is a little bit of Aaron's basketball game from Saturday (Aaron is yellow #4). The boys lost their game, but it was so close. Aaron and the other boys have a lot of fun and that is all that matters to Jaime and I.

Daisy, Daisy..

Pam is incredibly excited about being a Daisy Scout. It has taken the Troop leader since October to get our troop up and going. And of course I've been asked to be Pam's Troop Leader. So now I am a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. I have no idea how I get myself into these things.

Aaron is working really hard at basketball. I am hoping to put up a little video of his game Saturday. He is one of the best defensive players on the team. Aaron will throw his body in front of anyone who has the ball.

More Anthony

For those who are unaware, Anthony had surgery this past September to improve his hearing. Jaime and I were concerned that Anthony was not speaking. He would babble and then get very angry that no one understood him. Anthony's doctor sent us to a specialist who had a complete hearing test done. It turned out that he had fluid in his estuation tubes and needed to get them drained. The doctor also put tubes in his ears to help prevent them from filling again. Anthony didn't hear us before. Imagine being under water and people talking to you. That’s the way Anthony heard every thing for the first 2 1/2 years of his life.

The hope was that after the surgery he would start talking because he could now hear. For the first few months, I was a little worried that there was something else wrong. He really wasn't doing much better. But now almost every day there is a new word or even a sentence. His progress is amazing to me.

His favorite words lately are why and toy car.

And just to prove that yes we still do have the other two kids, here are a few current pictures.

Pam loves gymnastics.

Aaron still likes playing basketball. He is getting pretty good at it too.
